DR. UNIQUE C. STARKS:
CHAMPION OF BLACK WOMEN'S WELLNESS

Dr. UniQue C. Starks, a native New Yorker, is a dedicated catalyst for change, particularly within Black and Brown women communities. Her journey began amidst limited resources and inadequate school systems, unveiling the stark realities of social injustices faced by women of color.

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CUNY Brooklyn College, a Master's in Social Work from NYU's Silver School, and a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California, Dr. Starks passionately commits her life to uplifting systematically deprived communities.

As the visionary force behind "A UniQue Lifee," Dr. Starks delves into the lives of Black and Brown women, adolescents, and families navigating mental health, abuse, abandonment, and violence. With over a decade of hands-on experience in direct service work, policy, advocacy, social justice, and community outreach, Dr. Starks is a beacon for change.

Formerly the Executive Director at Project Restore Bedstuy, combating anti-gun violence in NYC, she served as a Postdoctorate at the Center for Justice at Columbia University. Dr. Starks envisions a world where resources are redistributed within disadvantaged communities.

Join Dr. Starks on this transformative journey, where she creates spaces that empower, nurture, and celebrate the resilience of Black women.
